Description
Cyndi was a dear friend to many, many people, and oh how she is missed. She opened her heart, her life and her home and made everyone feel so welcomed.
Cyndi was full of joy. Her favorite sayings were based on scripture...two of them were: \"Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!\" and Psalms 118:24 - which is written on this little scroll sitting by the flowers in this painting. ( \"This is the day which the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.\")
Cyndi\'s middle name in fact was Joy! She lit up the room with her gracious smile and re-assured others as she went through years and years of a long battle with ovarian cancer. Some would say she \'lost\' the battle at the age of 56 in Oct. of 2009. I know that she is smiling from a much better place and that she \"gained\" new life.
I painted this picture earlier, not knowing it was for her at the time... but later I knew I was to present it in honor of her, donating it for an auction fundraiser being held to raise money for local cancer patients. Cyndi was to be one of the main speakers. She got to see the picture and they said she loved it, but she didn\'t get to speak at the fundraiser which was called \" Dinner of Hope \" Her daughter Sarah, spoke on her behalf, because she had \'gained her new life\', just a day or so before.
The effort that she had put forth to promote the dinner of hope, helped greatly to make it the success it was...and I can still hear her saying what she always said when she\'d say her goodbyes, \"God\'s peace be with You!\"
Since Cyndi promoted God\'s Joy, and often that\'s what Tea Time with friends also does, I changed the name of this painting from Psalm 118:24 to \"Cyndi\'s Tea Time\"...and I remember her with Joy and give thanks for the Day He Has Made as she would want us all to do. God Bless!
(The painting brought a thousand dollars at the auction! I thank God for generous people!) If your interested in a signed limited edition print of this painting, contact me and I will give you details and prices.Thank You!
